That's a little harsh---I have been in situation when I couldn't reply 
to a 'needinfo' because e.g. I upgraded in the meantime, or I'd have to 
reboot to a different kernel or something like that.

I think it's OK to close the bug if 'needinfo' is several weeks old. 
Would that satisfy your needs?
