You are correct, the cited workaround from bug 680605 was partially
superfluous: downgrading
 - accountsservice-libs-0.6.3-3.fc15
 - accountsservice-0.6.3-3.fc15
alone already solves the issue for me. The reporter of  bug 680605
should change the component from libcanberra to accountsservice then
