biosdevname in fedora 15 - why is this inconsistency?

thanks for your answer.
I had looked in the rpm and I suppose you mean this file:
/lib/udev/rules.d/71-biosdevname.rules
it doesn't talk pci ports/slots, but your explanation of biosdevname
is enough for me, I hope the man page will be updated in the future.
