I'm perfectly capable of configuring priorities and frontends in dpkg,
thanks for your concerns. However it's not the _default_ for dpkg to
be silent, and it clearly should be.

virt-top is 'top' for virtual machines. Tiny program with many
powerful monitoring features, net stats, disk stats, logging, etc.
