Dasher works fine on a 64 bit system on F15 here.
My version = dasher-4.10.1-2.fc12.x86_64

It looks like it hasn't been touched in some time though.
There is a newer version out (4.11) available here:
http://www.inference.phy.cam.ac.uk/dasher/Download.html

Not sure if that will make the difference for you.
