"english as second language" is not an excuse for profanities. 

Judging by your name* I'd say that you could have easily explained it to
Lennart in German in private email and then come back to continue the
_technical_ argument. Or even as an addendum to one of your emails on the
list here, I'm sure there are enough German speakers on the list that'd be
happy to clear up confusion where needed.
