When the installation finished and I pressed the reboot button, a
message flashed briefly at the bottom of the screen. Something like: RPM
database <path> cannot be opened. So, it looked like we were heading in
the same direction. However, all seems OK - 1413 packages reported by
rpm -qa. Go figure...
