F16: user's secondary groups ignored

Hi

On a fresh install of F16, I have added "wheel" as a secondary group for a
user using "# usermod -a -G wheel masood".

I have verified that "/etc/group" has the correct entry and
"system-config-users" shows that user "masood" belongs to "wheel" group.
However, "$ groups" only lists user's primary group and the user is unable
to run any command as "wheel".

Is there a different way to do this in F16 or something is broken on my
installation?

Kind Regards,
Masood
