Hi Les, do the comments on this bug report:

help you in changing the font size at all? From memory, what you need to
do is edit /boot/grub2/themes/system/theme.txt and change the font sizes
specified there, then re-generate the grub2 config and possibly re-do
grub2-install (I forget exactly which steps are required). I'm not sure
if there's an 'update-safe' way of doing this.
