F17, Apple, EFI boot, livecd-tools

Following applies to a 2011, Macbook Pro 8,2

1.
Used livecd-tools-17.6-1.fc17 to successfully create an EFI bootable USB stick of Fedora-17-Alpha-x86_64-Live-Desktop.iso.

2.
I get to the GRUB menu. Times out and starts to boot. Same result as: EFI boot failure to properly initialize graphics on Macs with Intel and AMD graphics

So no improvement so far over F16 on either hardware. But livecd-tools appears to work correctly.
