F16: Three bugs that really annoy me

I use Fedora for my desktops. I encounter three "death by a thousand
papercuts" daily. Judging by the bugzilla traffic I'm nearly the only
one with these problems.

1. I cannot save my keyboard layout in Gnome. I have to reset it every
time I login by adding and removing a keyboard layout.

2. If I switch users, often the sound is muted. I have to go to sound
properties and change the audio hardware to something else then back again.

3. User switching doesn't really work well. I often have to kill gdm,
losing any work I had.
