AutoQA wouldn't be a great place for it, really, it's more for testing
stuff that _can't_ be tested as part of an application's build process.
Unit testing is a key part of good development practice, and AutoQA
isn't meant to replace it.
(I see from the follow up that you did add a test to dracut's own test
suite, which is exactly right, but posting just so as to preserve that
paragraph of wise instruction for future generations ;>)
