In https://fedorahosted.org/fesco/ticket/602 http://meetbot.fedoraproject.org/fedora-meeting/2011-06-08/fesco.2011-06-08-17.30.log.html it was decided to name the Live images using i386 instead of i686, to make them consistent. This appears to have slipped through the cracks.
