In case you haven't seen it yet, there's a SIG (special-interest-group)
that focuses on Java packaging within Fedora:
  http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/SIGs/Java
so hopefully that page is of interest.  (I'm not a member of that SIG,
but I know people who are)
