Does anyone know how GRUB2 (bootloader+core, grub2-install, grub2-mkconfig) will behave in a case where there is a valid legacy MBR and a stale GPT remains behind? The present patch does not blank the stale GPT. While I agree with bcl that the less changed the better, there may be unintended consequences. I asked this question on grub-devel@ but no replies so far.
