Agreed 100%, this is really silly. If you don't want updates, just don't 
update!

That horrible idea has been floated at DevConf Brno and I already complained 
there about it (sadly not in the session because question time was too 
short, but only in small-group discussions hours later). I really hope 
reason will prevail!
