OpenWrt already does these things (assigning different profiles to
specific ports or NICs, VLANs and multiple SSIDs). Chaos Calmer, the
latest release, even supports jails. You could buy one of the
"friendlier" routers for 30-40€, flash the ROM (even with a custom
baked image), fiddle with the settings you want for a couple of hours
and forever be done with it.
