You don't really seem to have taken in my point,
I doubt if it is possible to install Fedora-10 on a machine with 256MB,
but it is perfectly possible to install F-10 on a PII400 with 1GB RAM,
and the machine will be usable in text and graphics mode.
Obviously it will be slow, but someone with this machine
must know that it is slow.
The question is, whether it works or not.

In my view, it is ridiculous to say you need a 2GHz machine to run F-10,
and suggests to me that you are slightly out of touch with the real world.
I'm using a Thinkpad T43 at this moment, which smolt says is 1.73GHz,
and which is more than adequate for everything I do -
mainly surfing the web and sending email.
I also use a T23 which runs at about 1GHz and I don't really notice
any difference in speed between them.
