Maybe you should try it, then report back all the edge cases we need to
document :P

But seriously, that's exactly the point I was trying to make.  It isn't a
drop-in replacement.  It behaves differently in many ways, and nobody likes
surprises from their operating system.  If you can read the docs first,
less surprises.
