Hi all,

Im using centos 7+ epel + xfce.

do you have any plans to add these compiz/emerald packages for el7
desktop users?

I tested the packages and currently it working well, may it helps when
you decide to add these packages.

Those packages needed and *not yet provided by epel* ,
Im checking out from f20.src.rpm: list

mate-window-manager-1.6.2-7.fc20.src.rpm
mate-doc-utils-1.6.2-1.fc20.src.rpm
gnome-icon-theme-3.10.0-1.fc20.src.rpm
gnome-icon-theme-symbolic-3.10.0-1.fc20.src.rpm
ccsm-0.8.4-14.fc20.src.rpm
compiz-0.8.8-25.fc20.src.rpm
python-sexy-0.1.9-18.fc20.src.rpm
fusion-icon-0.1-6.fc20.src.rpm
emerald-0.8.8-9.fc20.src.rpm
emerald-themes-0.5.2-10.fc20.src.rpm
libmatewnck-1.6.1-2.fc20.src.rpm
compiz-plugins-main-0.8.8-10.fc20.src.rpm
libicns-0.8.1-4.fc20.src.rpm
compiz-plugins-extra-0.8.8-11.fc20.src.rpm
compizconfig-python-0.8.4-9.fc20.src.rpm
compiz-manager-0.6.0-19.fc20.src.rpm
compiz-bcop-0.8.8-7.fc20.src.rpm
libcompizconfig-0.8.8-9.fc20.src.rpm
Pyrex-0.9.9-7.fc20.src.rpm

Note:

1. most of the packages are compiled without errors.

fusion-icon # rpm compile need to modify the spec, as it checks fedora
version( if v>8 ).

2. compiz* packages cannot install without emerald, but emerald need
compiz-devel before compile.
so I forced install compiz* before compile emerald.

3. those *mate* packages mentioned above are just used to compile
compiz-mate package.

compiz-0.8.8-25.el7.centos.x86_64.rpm
compiz-debuginfo-0.8.8-25.el7.centos.x86_64.rpm
compiz-devel-0.8.8-25.el7.centos.x86_64.rpm
compiz-lxde-0.8.8-25.el7.centos.x86_64.rpm
compiz-mate-0.8.8-25.el7.centos.x86_64.rpm

after compile, I only need compiz and compiz-xfce, so it's safe to
deinstall those *mate* packages after that.

4. packages like Pyrex / libicns . are needed for compile. not provided
by epel, but no necessary on using.

package / python-sexy is required to run ccsm rpm, which helps to
operate 3D desktop.

For your information.
