In hopes I am not speaking out of turn because I'm not the official
maintainer of i3 but instead just a big fan. In terms of official
packages in EPEL7, it is currently blocked awaiting response to this
Bugzilla[0].

However, I do have a Fedora copr repository of builds done and
available that I'm currently using for my purposes and I plan to
maintain this copr until all components are officially in EPEL7. It
can be found here:
    https://copr.fedoraproject.org/coprs/maxamillion/epel7-i3wm/
