I posed the same question to Mike (upstream devel). He has informed
that the user experience will be the same between the versions. I have
used in EL-6 and Fedora and have not been "surprised" by anything.
But, Mike also confirms that EL-5 should not have any problems either.

Yup! The newer version fixes many severe issues and that the reason I
want to update EL-5 as well.
