libmemcached is a C client library to the memcached server (http://danga.com/memcached). It has been designed to be light on memory usage, and provide full access to server side methods.
* php-pecl-memcached
This extension uses libmemcached library to provide API for communicating with memcached servers.

This update can be installed with the "yum" update programs. Use
su -c 'yum update php-pecl-memcached' at the command line.
