error grub

[desde ya muchas gracias]

hola compañeros, tengo un problem con el grub y como ya no se como seguir
les quiero consultar...

el 1er error q tuve fue en un booteo:

Booting ´Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS (2.6.9-34.EL)´
root (hd0,0)

kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.9-34.EL ro root=LABEL=/ rhgb quiet

ent fui a la web de errores del grub
http://www.gentoo.org/doc/es/grub-error-guide.xml

e hice lo q indican... bootee con un cd de instalacion y fui a una
pantalla de comandos, monte mis particiones / , /boot y /usr para poder
lanzar el grub-install y...

1) si hago:
# ./mnt/kk/sbin/grub-install --root-directory=/boot /dev/rd/c0d0
/sbin/grub: Not found
#

logico... en el /sbin no tengo un grub


2) si hago un chroot:
# chroot /mnt/kk
/sbin/grub-install --root-directory=/boot /dev/rd/c0d0
No suitable drive was found in the generated device map
#

tambien es logico eso, xq en el /dev lo unico q tengo es el null , pero no
se q otra cosa poner xq mi /boot es el /dev/rd/c0d0p1
