Sure. Feel free to email me, or just drop questions to the list and I'll
tell you how to proceed. Whatever you prefer :)

Sponsors are mainly in-charge of reviewing a prospective packager's work
to decide if he/she knows enough to be added to the packager group or
not. They do drop comments on review tickets too. However, personal
mentorship isn't very common. In fedora for instance, if you have an
issue, you just drop an e-mail to the related mailing list, and folks
get back to you. It's more about the entire community that one-one
relationships. 

Now, since prospective contributors aren't very well versed with the
community, and may not know a lot of folks, they are
shy/scared/nervous/whatnot about dropping e-mails to fedora mailing
lists. It is why we formed the join sig. Please feel  free to ask us
*whatever* you want to (as long as it's fedora related ;) ), and we'll
help out!
