powerdevil does it work?

I got what I think is powerdevil displayed on my panel (next to clock).  When 
I left click I get a plasma.

I chose suspend to ram when lid closed, but when I close the lid it does 
nothing.  It worked with kpowersave (I believe that's the name of the older 
one?).  If I choose suspend to ram manually in powerdevil it works.  But not 
if I put it in the action for lid closing in the current (performance) profile.
