In order to play Quake 4, Doom3 and other ID games I need to add similar lines
or Audio is really bad. Besides, I don't use PulseAudio. And I don't seem to
have any trouble at all. I use the phonon-xine backend not gstreamer or Pulse
Audio. Everything seem to work just fine. Including any gnome app that I've
needed to use. But I avoid them when I can, because, as someone mentioned in a
previous thread, I don't need the extra overhead.
