kwin video record effect

Hi all,

are there any plans to build (again?) the KWin video record effect? "again" 
means I hardly recall to have seen this on F10 (KDE 4.2.0?).

I've tried everything to screencast  my KDE desktop (with compositing active,  
on an NVidia graphics card), and nothing seems to work 100% other than the 
KWin video record effect. You can compare the results with the latest 
recordmydesktop (which has better composite support than previous versions):
