some multimedia app failures

   does  anybody know if this could be related
   to not being able to boot  vmlinuz-2.6.27.24-170.2.68.fc10.i686?
  i get a file not found error, then i choose
vmlinuz-2.6.27.19-170.2.35.fc10.i686.
