Suspicion regarding the kmail "Retrieving Folder Contents - Please wait ..." problem

I _seem_ to have cured this problem by cutting down the size of my Inbox -
from 2000 emails to under 1000.
But like you, I have had false dawns before.

My latest KMail problem is that the Tools=>Find Messages
seems to have stopped working.
