okular-4.12 not displaying png/jpg/gif

yes, it only affects okular which believes now it needs a
plugin while the past years gif/png/jpg where basic formats

what i read in several news about KDE 4.12 is that okluar now
can play audio/video in epub files what may be true and nice
but i have no such files - smells like a regression
