KDE/Fedora is broken

Hi, 

If the problems are related to switch from KDE4 to Plasma 5, you may try using 
my kde4-fedora[1] repo before doing all the work required to switch distro. 

However if behaviour you describing is caused only by application code, rather 
than the combination of application and DE, it won't help.
