So, I'm not sure what you're expecting [] to look like in the fkp font, but the
font design doesn't include the horizontal line ends, that's not an oversight,
it is intentional.

I think that the back-tick is intentionally a high, short horizontal line, it
doesn't show the same sort of clipping that some of the other characters had.

It would be possible to perhaps make a derived font that changed these items,
but it wouldn't really be fkp anymore.
