I suggest to change the summary to

OOo should support optional smartfont features

because we need a common interface to OpenType, Graphite and AAT optional features.

OOo has already supported optional Graphite features, but only by extended font
names (used also by some extensions:
http://www.thanlwinsoft.org/GraphiteOOoExt/,
http://extensions.services.openoffice.org/en/project/typo).

Minimal requirements:

Common UI: Font features menus to the character formatting/font settings dialog
and to the local menu, see also http://silgraphite.sourceforge.net/ui/studynote.html

Possible issues:

Common localization: OpenType and AAT features are standardized
(http://www.microsoft.com/typography/otspec/features_ae.htm,
http://developer.apple.com/fonts/Registry/index.html), so it's possible and
recommended to centralize their translations. If a Graphite font uses standard
OpenType or AAT feature names or descriptions, the translations can be
associated to the Graphite features, too.

Common Smartfont taskbar: with the centralization of the smartfont features, the
most important features can be placed on a taskbar, too.
