Now a similar screenshot with Liberation 2.00.

rgba=rgb
hinting=true
autohint=false  <- i.e. using the byte code

always and then the results for

hintstyle={hintfull,hintmedium,hintslight,hintnone}

are compared.

hintmedium and hintslight give identical results.

hintnone is slightly fuzzier.

hintfull is slightly sharper.

But the differences are small, *all* of them are quite fuzzy.

Hintfull cannot render as sharp as for liberation 1.07 because
liberation 2.00 apparently doesn’t have such a high quality byte
code.
