The problem reproduces for me quite often with the reproducer from #977478. It
is a thread-related problem. It doesn't crash if I compile geeqie with
"--disable-threads" and with ifdef-ed all g_mutex_{un}lock() by "#ifdef
HAVE_GTHREAD".
I suppose that the problem with cinnamon is similar.
