- The cost of flight plus hotel would be around USD 1100 (travel) and USD
160 (hotel). A partial subsidy would help, USD 600 being the minimum
amount of money that would help me attend.
- As Fedora Ambassador my field of work here in Argentina is oriented to
the development of educational technology for children, specifically in
the area of free software educational robotics. I'm currently working with
Sugar Labs/OLPC (One Laptop Per Child), developing a low cost hardware to
use on XO Netbooks. I'm also part of a Latin American Robotics Network
with a software called "ICARO" of which I am the main developer [http
://sistema-icaro.blogspot.com].
I'm a Fedora Packager, handling the maintenance of the ICARO RPM Packages
[http://rpmdev.proyectofedora.org/wiki/icaro].
I'm interested in getting to know people who are working on the same field
as I am (children robotics under Fedora OS) with whom I'm in touch only
though web forums and e-mails.
- I'd like to take to the conferences some of the ICARO PCBs (Printed
Circuit Boards) to give to some of the people working on the same field in
Panamá and Venezuela.
- My work schedule is flexible, so I can manage to get free time in order
to attend the conferences. I could depart from Córdoba International
Airport on May 25 at 4:16 AM, flight number 464, and return on May 29 from
Tocumen Airport in Panamá City at 6:42 PM, flight number 463. Both on Copa
Airlines (times and flight numbers yet to be confirmed).
