I just note in passing that darcs-2.5.2 for epel6 is in testing now.
I don't know if it helps with this issue at all.
Actually I guess it does since for 2.5.2 I turned
off the testsuite for ghc7.  I suppose I could have
slyly closed this when the ghc7 packages go to stable. ;) :)
