Hmm.., I think I showed how to debug ibus.
If you doubt your problem is a timing issue, it would be good to add the
logging in comment #3.

If you want to run ibus panel directly:

% env IBUS_PREFIX=/usr python /usr/share/ibus/ui/gtk/main.py

You could add some print command.
