That didn't work for me for my similar problem installing emacs:
# yum update -x hunspell-en
Loaded plugins: langpacks, presto, refresh-packagekit
Adding en_US to language list
Setting up Update Process
No Packages marked for Update
# yum install emacs
<snip>
Transaction Check Error:
  package hunspell-en-0.20090216-7.fc12.noarch is already installed


Do I have a different problem that should get its own bug report?
