I don't know why you think this is related with ibus-anthy.
Would you forward the stack trace of the crash?
I saw your log file but I don't see any problems about ibus-anthy.
I don't try VMWare. I have no problem with VirtualBox.

Do you mean you have no output or different chars are output?

Do you mean you encounter your problem after you remove ibus-anthy?
Do you see your problem with a new account?
Do you see your problem when you select other ibus engines likes ibus-pinyin or
ibus-hangul ?

Do you see your problem without ibus? i.e.
% env GTK_IM_MODULE=gtk-im-context-simple gnome-terminal --disable-factory &
