So what I see is that if I change the:
  <test name="family" compare="eq">
    <string>Lohit Tamil</string>
  </test>
to some non-existent nonsense (like "Lohit Tamilll"), the bug stops happening
(with the other lohit-*-fonts removed).

What seems to be happening is that the test passes as soon as any characters
from Lohit Tamil are looked up, which is not what we want. :-(
