You didn't answer my question.
It would be needed to understand your problem exactly.
I still wonder your problem is not ibus but maybe the components would not be
installed properly or others.

metacity doesn't run on GNOME 3.
I don't ask the installed rpms but running components.
You could check the process with ps command during your session.
I'm asking which metacity or gnome-shell is running on your desktop.

But I'd thinking the conditions are not enough yet.
If you could not provide the exact information to reproduce your problem,
probably it would be hard to fix it.
