I need more input to reproduce this bug. Start iok from gnome-terminal and show
me what is appearing on console.

Which locale you started this application?

On my en_US locale, iok is starting fine. Even I used this command
LANG=ru_RU.UTF-8 iok -a

and it started iok without a problem.
