Fedora boot problem

Dear all,

I was using fedora 8. I downloaded fedora 9 and inserted the DVD. It asked
for an upgrade and every thing was fine. Now after an automatic update( I
think the kernel should have been updated) when i reboot the system, it is
not booting. A beep sound is heard after displaying GRUB.
