I am talking about the laptops of the students and participants of the event. There is going to be a nice big variety there.

This shouldn't be too hard to do, I'll take up this part, and test the different DEs (esp GNOME 3) and the other normal tests to be done. Would it be possible to get nightly builds downloaded a day before from someone in pune? (It will be a huge download since all spins will have to be downloaded to be tested)

Well with anyone interested we have them make fas accounts, and keep a log of all fas accounts, and later send a follow up about a week after the event seeing if they need any more help or completed what ever they were working on.
