Some more data: 

- Fedora media had download.fedora.redhat.com urls on them until around
  f13 or f14 on media holders, etc. 

- Internally to RH download.fedora.redhat.com resolves to internal IP's
  for the dl.fedoraproject.org download servers. This may result in RH
  folks getting a faster/different network path than if they used
  dl.fedoraproject.org. 

We can get around this second issue by simply asking RHIT to drop the
external dns entry and keep the internal one or point it to more local
mirrors for folks.
