Hi folks,

What do you folks think of displaying a few links in the announcement
space?

I've done it on the staging instance[1]. Please have a look. This is the
simple code snippet that's required:

> <div class="box">
> <h2>Guidelines!</h2>
> <h3>Read the <a href="https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Ask_fedora_guidelines" target="_blank">guidelines</a> before you ask your question.</h3>
> <h2>Announcements!</h2>
> <h3><a href="http://start.fedoraproject.org" target="_blank">Announcements and more!</a></h3>
> </div>

The setting is at:
https://ask.stg.fedoraproject.org/settings/SIDEBAR_MAIN/

I think it's better than modifying the help text to include the
guidelines[2].
