Greetings.

My name is Michael Haynes (IRC: mhaynes) and I'm from southern Alabama in
the US. I've been working with computers for around 25 years with 20 of
them being in a professional capacity. Over the years I have worked in PC
support, network installation and support, and for the past 8 years as a
developer. Currently I am working toward moving more into system
administration and security.

I would like to apply my current skill set to the Fedora project in any way
I can while getting some more hands-on experience with administration /
security so that I can build up that skill set to an acceptable level.
Here's a short list of what I bring to the table:

- C++, C#, Java, Python
- HTML, Javascript, JQuery
- XML, XSLT, XPath
- MS SQL, PostgreSQL
- A+, Network+, Security+, MCP, and several CIW certifications. Currently
preparing for the Linux+ and hope to achieve that within the next 6 weeks.
- Good communication skills (and not too shabby at documentation)

There are several goals I hope to achieve here. First and foremost is the
opportunity to be a part of this community and learn from you all while
hopefully contributing something positive back to the group and the project
as a whole. And on a personal level I want to further develop my current
skills while also building up the required skills to move my career in a
new direction.

For the next few weeks I will probably be hiding in the background just
trying to get acclimated to how the team works and the processes you
follow. Once I've got a good feel for things I'll be jumping in with both
feet!

Feel free to contact me at mhaynes.linux at gmail.com if you have any
questions or just want to chat about something.

Thanks,
Michael Haynes
