I think (well, in my case at least) that the x86_64 startup crash was
related to mozilla only, because the Welcome screen is shown on initial
startup. If you have an existing workspace where this page is not shown
by default, then it doesn't seem to crash. You can make it crash again
by manually selecting the Welcome screen from the Help menu.
